it takes two, inc.

Georgia Rettmer and her daughter, Kimberly Rinehart are the founders of it takes two, inc., the twenty nine year old company built upon Georgia's unique torn paper art and Kimberly's original verses. Artist, mother, grandmother, story-teller and inspiration, Georgia designs art featuring imagery ranging from her classic children to intricate florals. Every piece Georgia creates thoughtfully reflects the feeling of Kimberly's words. Georgia and her husband Forest live in Mankato, Minnesota. Their summers are spent at their A Frame home on Lake Superior near Bayfield, Wisconsin. Georgia and Forest have 4 children and 8 grandchildren who all love to spend time together!

Kimberly has the privilege of working with the staff of it takes two daily. She also enjoys directing the company's creative team of artists and continues to write or edit verse for all greeting cards and scrapbooking products published by it takes two. Kimberly and her husband Tim have four children and live in Le Sueur, Minnesota. They also care for 2 needy dogs, 2 fluffy cats, 13 alpacas, 24 chickens and a rooster named Cheetos.

The company is headquartered in Le Sueur, about a 2 minute commute from the Rinehart's home. Our staff consists of 12 long term, dedicated employees that manage the countless, year round details of design, product development, customer service, sales, packaging and shipping. The it takes two family, of both past and present employees, is a tight-knit group of caring friends who have shared each others joys and challenges throughout the years.

When the company was established in 1984, its entire line consisted of a collection of twenty four 5 x 7 greeting cards which were sold to local, independent retail shops. Today, products published by it takes two include cards, stationery items, gifts and scrapbooking papers and stickers that are marketed internationally through retail shops, distributors and catalogs as well as online stores.
